INSTALLATION
Ground work
-Ensure proper drainage for the ground
-Add geo textile on the surface.
-Add a 10-20cm layer of crushed stones (ca. 0-16mm or 0-32mm) and compact the area.
-If needed add also a 2cm layer of stone dust to ensure a level installation base. Compact the area using a compactor and a little amount of water.
Grass installation
-Unroll the grass and let it rest for a while.
-Lift the grass from each end at a time and shake the grass to remove possible bumbs, which the tightly packed rolls might have caused.
-Using a stanley knife, cut the grass to proper pieces. Ensure that the seams and the stitches run smoothly from one piece to the other.
-When the pieces have been cut and placed to the area, a seaming tape is added under the seams, the rough side facing up. Apply 2-component polyurethane glue (2kg/m2) or other suitable glue to the seaming tape. Ensure that the seams are properly pressed by applying some weights over the seams. With a bucket of glue (13,7kg) you can cover about 40m of seaming tape, when you place glue with 17cm width.
-After the glue has dried, and if needed, brush a layer of sand (ca. 0,1-0,6mm dried silica sand) on the grass surface. Remember, the sand infill can only be brushed to the surface on dry weather conditions.
Maintenance
-Regular brushing of the grass whenever needed to remove any dirt that might lead to decomposing. Remember brushing especially before and after winter. Also a pressure washer can be used for more precise cleaning.
-If using sand-filled grass, check the level of sand regurlarly.
